Wood Occupations Site Work - Level 1

Overview

This course helps to introduce you to working safely and gaining confidence in building craft construction skills.  You will work to recognised industrial standards and will gain the underpinning knowledge and skills to prepare you for a career in site work.

Apply finishing materials
Cut, lay and fix construction components
Health and safety
Handle and store construction materials and components
Mix construction materials
Introduction to brickwork, plastering, carpentry and decorating

Method of Study

Combined knowledge and competence-based qualification delivered mainly at the learners place of work. Each learner is assigned an individual Training Officer who schedules visits on a monthly basis.
