Facilities Services Level 2

Overview

This qualification is designed for Facilities Services Operatives whose duties include securing a site, setting up rooms for events, assisting with cleaning and site emergency and evacuation procedures.


Suitable for learners who want to learn and gain a broad understanding about the facilities and services industry.

On completion of this qualification the learner will achieve the following:
► City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Facilities Services
► City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Facilities Services Principles

Course Content

 

Allows learners to understand, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the facilities sector. It covers subjects such as:

Routine and non-routine waste.

Working safely at heights.

Moving and transport.

Safety and security.

Develop customer relationships.

Method of Study

Combined knowledge and competence-based qualification delivered mainly at the learners place of work. Each learner is assigned an individual Training Officer who schedules visits on a monthly basis.

Entry Requirements

For a funded Level 2 programme applicants must be:
Employed with a contract for a minimum of 16 hours per week at a rate of pay equal to, or in excess of, the National Minimum Wage. The job role must be suitable for the learner to be able to display occupational competence.
